Ice storms are not uncommon in Russia, and the aftereffects can be devastating. Here is one that took place in Petrozavodsk, Russia. It would appear that they bring everything to a complete stop.

An interesting photo essay from Russia's mining town of Prokopyevsk awaits you after the jump.
Looking at the pictures, it seems that the city became extinct, but when it's -42 ° C it's not so easy to have a walk.
