Much to the surprise of some climbers, this abandoned Russian MI 8 helicopter was found on Mount Elbrus. Apparently it is too difficult to try to salvage in spite of the fact that it is worth $10,000,000. That kind of money will buy a lot of evacuation.
Nice, huh!
But is this ‘hotelicopter’ the real deal? Well…
In fact, the Kopp-Etchells effect is a new name.
It was named after two soldiers who died in Afghanistan in July 2009. The Kopp-Etchells effect is a result of dust striking helicopter blades as they take off or land at night, causing a bright 'halo' effect around the spinning rotor disk.
So, if it happens at night, you can watch an amazing show.
Take a look at pictures.
Yesterday, was held a presentation of a new strategic helicopter in China, which has no equal in the world!
Soon the Chinese military forces will use it and after that they will conquer the world, because nothing can stop them to do that with such technology ;)
This incredible jump was done by Orlando Duque during the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in Holland.
The photos speak for themselves, but to show you all the magnitude of this jump, I recommend you to watch the video too.
