Using white lines and grass, French artist Francois Abelanet created this stunning 3D sphere (anamorphose) in front of the Hotel de Ville in Paris. The illusion is actually a garden that people can stroll through. The construction will be located there until July 15.

Photographer and professional retoucher Erik Johansson created this striking street illusion at Sergels torg (Sergel's Square) using huge photograph swaths. It appears that the ground has caved in and that people walking over the precipice will fall to their deaths.
Do you like illusions? Inside this post, a beautiful eye illusion is waiting for you.
These are fake swimming pools in Japan and New York by Leandro Erlich. It looks like a real swimming pool with people swimming in it. Actually, there is only small amount of water and the people are in a room below the swimming pool.

This is an amazing optical illusion. You are supposed stare at the center if it for approximately 45 seconds and then look around the room, but not just the walls, look everywhere. You’ll be amazed at what you see.
Check it out after the jump.
Do you think the majority of these images are moving? Of course not, and you know that, but your eyes will make you see the contrary. And in other pictures you will see something that is not actually there. Well, an eye deception in its purest form. Check out the pics and be careful, don't break your eyes ;)
If you look quickly at this picture, you’ll see one thing but when you zoom it, it will give you completely unexpected result which will also make you laugh.
Take a look.
This is an oldie of the day, but a good one. The photo was taken in Sweden in the early 20th century and was not retouched in any way. From the first quick glance at the photo, you’ll probably see a big head between two people. Is it something paranormal or a simple illusion?
The answer is inside the post.
The photos in this post will have you wondering what’s wrong with your eyes. The physical objects in the photos appear to be bigger or smaller than they really are. The result is a visual illusion. That’s why it’s perspective confusion.
In Canada they have come up with a crafty new way to cause people to slow down. It is a speed bump that is an illusion. The goals are to prevent injuries and promote safety on the road. Still, it’s a pretty sneaky way to get people to slow down.
Don't forget to watch the video to see how it works.
Do you see two similar lighters? Great.
But one of them is not real :) It is just printed on the paper.
These simple, but at the same time, great illusions are made by Julian Beaver.

A great selection of optical illusions in a flash animation.
First, carefully read the description, because some things may seem unclear. Most illusions are interactive, click them to see the animations. Amazing how our eyes can deceive us ))
You think it was photoshopped, not true or whatever! Well no, it’s only a matter of perspective :)
Very interesting photo shoot from the world of illusions so to speak.
In the post, you will see two pictures with the exact same face.
But ... on one photo you'll see a girl and on the other one - a guy.
Interesting? Then, click to see more )
The first one is simple and amazing.
This man can be met in many European countries.
His performances gather big crowds.
The thing is that he is hanging in mid air by leaning with his hand against the wall of any building.
He can stay for hours in this position. No one has discovered yet how he does it.
If you focus your look, you could change the ballerina rotation direction from clockwise to counter clockwise.
