Bloemencorso Zundert is the largest flower parade in the world entirely made by volunteers. The parade takes place on the first Sunday of September. The floats are large artworks made of steel wire, cardboard, papier-mâché and flowers. In the Bloemencorso Zundert, only dahlias are used to decorate the objects and it takes thousands of them just to cover one float.
Tommy Kleyn rides his bicycle to work every morning along the waterfront in the Netherlands but he got tired of seeing how much pollution was lining its banks. He decided that he would fill one garbage bag per day with rubbish until he had cleaned it completely and his actions inspired others to help out as well. It is great to see how good it looks now.

These unusual buildings were designed by architect Piet Blom. Several dozens of such cube-shaped houses called Kubuswoningen were built in the Dutch towns of Rotterdam and Helmond in the midlle of the ‘70s. The total area of each house is around 100 square meters (1075 sq. ft.), though about a quarter of the space is unusable due to angled ceilings. In 2009 several cubes were converted into a hostel.
