An operation to rescue a kitten lasted for 2 days in Gothenburg (Sweden). The frightened creature was trapped in a concrete tube (15 cm in diameter) under a store. Staff at the supermarket heard animal’s cries for help but could not reach it. Rescuers used advanced camera equipment to monitor the kitten’s life in the tube.

There are few things sadder than an abused dog, but thankfully there are people who have a heart. This rescued dog fully recovered after initially looking like she wouldn’t make it.

This little Chinese boy is really lucky!

It is a real miracle that this unlucky dog has survived. The poor thing was shot in the head and buried alive. A police officer who was walking nearby accidentally heard someone whining from underneath. He called the emergency services that sent the rescued dog to a veterinary clinic. The dog underwent a surgery. As for his owner, he’ll have to go through a trial. A person who did this is a jerk, but not human.

This rescue helicopter brought an emergency doc to a car repair station where one of their mechanics was heavy injured. I think, I wouldn´t try to put my hand between the grass and the rotor wings... This happened in Northern Italy in a small village on the eastern side of the famous stelvio pass.

This happened on the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. A Labrador and his owner were walking along the shore when the dog strayed on to thin ice close to the center of the river and fell into the water. Witnesses of this drama shouted to the Labrador’s owner not to go after her pet, but she did what she did. Laying on her front, she was crawling out on the ice trying to get closer to the dog when the ice broke under her weight. Now the woman had to fight for her life in the icy water. This 10-day-old dolphin was injured by a fishing net and discovered near the Montevideo beach (Uruguay). There was no sign of the dolphin’s mother, so the mammal was lowered into a swimming pool at the NGO Rescate Fauna Marina centre. Local “resident”, the Magellan penguin, quickly became friends with a baby dolphin.
