Sweet mullets, severely hair sprayed locks, tall bangs and jean jackets galore will make you pine for those simple 1990s times. You could throw on a tight shirt, a pair of rolled up acid washed jeans, white sneaks and hit the local mall for some food and fun. Don’t you wish you still had at least one leather jumpsuit hanging in the closet?
The day after Thanksgiving is known as “Black Friday” in the USA. It traditionally begins the Christmas shopping season. On this day people can buy many specials with discounts thus they are eager to wait the whole night in below freezing temperature outside stores in order to be the first ones to get inside the door and grab gifts and presents at the lowest prices. A lot of Americans go shopping on “Black Friday”, one of the reasons it is named “black” is because of the long lines in the stores.
In these Gap ads in Vancouver all the logos, mannequins, signs, and even cars in the parking lot near the store are turned upside down. The idea belongs to the advertising agency Cossette West, and a slogan reads: “Shopping turned on its head”.
This is how shopwindows in some Chinese shops that don’t have a good security look.
What is it for? To avoid stealing!
