An amazing project created by Hong Kong based photographer Chow Kar Hoo shows mighty superheroes doing the most ordinary everyday things.

Artist Andy Fairhurst created these inspiring drawings from the idea that all children make themselves into a superhero at some time in their childhood.

There has always been crime in this world, and aside from the police we have always had citizens who do their part. However, these costume wearing real life superheroes take crime fighting to an entirely unnecessary level.

In order to break the Guinness Book of World Records, over 1500 costumed superheroes gathered in Los Angeles. Many of the costumes look so real that you want to believe that they are real. Who knows, maybe some of them are.

The Spidermen and Batmen in these photos are somewhat overweight. There is just something about a person who is wearing a superhero costume with a beer gut hanging out that has the ring of insincerity to it. These folk may not have had their heart in it but they sure did have the stomachs in it.
