Mary Celeste was an American merchant sailing ship discovered floating around and deserted in the Atlantic Ocean, off the Azores Islands. The boat had left New York City for Genoa on November 7, 1872, and when it was discovered on December 5th, it still had most of its supplies. Even the captain’s and crew’s personal belongings were undisturbed. However, none of those who had been on board were ever seen or heard from again.
