This prison looks horrifying. Arkhangelsk High Security Penal Colony in Russia has nothing in common with Halden Prison in Norway. If Halden looks like heaven, Arkhangelsk prison looks like hell. About 1500 prisoners have to work hard in this “prestigious” colony that consists of a correctional facility CF-28 and a prison-settlement correctional facility CF-23. Not much freedom. This is a real punishment for a committed crime.

In the beginning of the 20th century Albert Kahn started collecting autochrome plates (autochrome was the first industrial process for true color photography).
