In grade 4? NO WAY. That is innapropriate and I agree with the school's decision. Later grades like junior high and high school? Maybe.

It wasn’t long after that before the principal told the boy he can no longer wear the backpack at school. He can bring it to school and leave it in the office during the day and collect it before heading home in the afternoon.

 

The father points out that the woman does not show any more cleavage then Betty Boop or other cartoon characters and the backpack doesn’t promote drugs, knives, or any other inappropriate behavior, but he was shut down.

 

It is truly determined by what we as individuals feel is appropriate or not. Where we each have our own moral code and the bottom line is that the principal can call the shots at his own school.
