Who would win? Well in Land o Lakes public school Betty Boop hands down. When this 4th grader attended school with his backpack he was told it was inappropriate for the school. The 4th grader has been toting the backpack for 2 years before another student’s parent complained to the secretary about the backpack.
It wasn’t long after that before the principal told the boy he can no longer wear the backpack at school. He can bring it to school and leave it in the office during the day and collect it before heading home in the afternoon.
The father points out that the woman does not show any more cleavage then Betty Boop or other cartoon characters and the backpack doesn’t promote drugs, knives, or any other inappropriate behavior, but he was shut down.
It is truly determined by what we as individuals feel is appropriate or not. Where we each have our own moral code and the bottom line is that the principal can call the shots at his own school.
