Earth had 11 or 12 glacial periods through time, soon will be a new one and before a new glacial time, theres a warm one, a very warm one. Yes, its true, WE (living now) wont get to see it, but in about 2-300 years, oh yeah, it will hurt. Not talking bullshit, i actualy attend a university based on enviromental science :) Everyone can make a change here. Not asking you to go "green", just do less of that, make that warm period take its time before it hits us... Now, go have a ice-tea :)

this is FUBAR. Put even same MONTH pics to comparison, there are daily images for over 30 years available and comparable if you google cryosphere today and look for comparison on lower page..

this "comparison" has a 60 day maximum difference so obviously the ice is larger on the later date.

Just checked from cryosphere sat images, this post is completely false. On christmas day both 2000 and 2010 the arctic basin was thoroughly frozen over. Even the bigger "january 2000" image here is totally different to the sat pics.
