Barry Ogletree a retired man from Texas flies a kite as often as possible. He even makes money at it!
He and his wife fly them at events that help to promote food or kite sales where proceeds are used for charity foundations.
He has more than a dozen kites that he flies during these events and some of them are super huge. These kites are so huge that he has to tie some of them to the ground to keep them steady. It is like having a Macy’s day parade right at your fingertips or an ocean of floating sea creatures.
The kite designs are a mixture of both his and other companies. He likes ocean types of fliers and states that these really grab the kid’s attention because of their colors.
Learn Something Fun: The largest number of kites flown on a single line is 11,284, this record is held by a Japanese kite maker.
