When she was declared missing Interpol opened up a case and they assumed that she was taken by some sort of religious cult.
Even his wife was fooled. When children arrived on his doorstep he gave his wife a paper that said the mother couldn’t have more children in her life and asked that they adopt them. He adopted 3 of them allowing them to live a normal life as his adopted children.
