In April of 2008 Elizabeth finally got out of the basement along with three other underground children.  They now live in seclusion and with sensitivity to natural light from all their years in imprisonment in the basement.

Elizabeth is now ready to testify in court now. She is ready to step forward and make her statements in court. Her father/captor is said to be very ill in jail, and will watch her testimony on television.
