These dramatic and never seen before pictures of US soldiers training, resting, and on the battlefield along with other war related scenarios were all banned from publication in the United States. It seems that the censors did not want to show any weakness, give away any trade secrets or potentially embarrass the US. Protocol has not changed very much in the intervening years, but the soldiers’ outfits certainly have.
American soldier was feasted and flattered by French women.

Scroll down the page to see how these gawking teen fans have the wool pulled over their eyes.
Whether or not this Craigslist post was real is entirely beside the point, because the author of this little gem is a genius.

This is quite a collection of bizarre black and white photos. Some of these just made me shake my head. They sort of make you think what facebook would have looked like if they'd had it back in the twenties and thirties. "Hey Everybody, check out Junior! He is only four years old and he can roll his own!" "See, Tiffany WAS a virgin, take that all you haters!"

Another Tilted Tens coming your way! With proms going on around schools now, I figured looking at weird and wacky dresses would be the best way to celebrate! I wonder what some people have in mind for dresses. I mean, how bad could one look?

Each year in Valencia, Spain the citizens put on a five-day celebration of Saint Joseph that culminates with the burning of the fallas or ninots (puppets). These puppets are constructed throughout the year and then destroyed in a fiery blaze, making for compelling images. Parades worldwide should take their cue from this festival.
The world's first internal combustion motorcycle was developed by Daimler in 1885. It was called the Reitwagen (riding car) and reached 7 mph (12 km/h).

People do love their pets, and are willing to pay large amounts of money (as evidenced by the rates here) for their cats to be pampered and cared for while they're off on vacation, or business trips. The cats at this hotel can have a private suite, meals server 'a la cat', and are pampered with a special eco-friendly kitty litter that removes odor in seconds. If you have several cats, they can be housed in the 'chalet' together.
With a diamond encrusted putter? That's right, this baby is covered in diamonds, and not only that, rubies, too!
Only there you can grow such plants on your balcony…
These people’s faces do look like a famous troll face!

These are some very good looking girls wearing the miniskirts from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Those were the days when the skirts were shorts and the girls were hot. There is something to be said for yesterday’s fashions.
The damage that was done by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami was absolutely devastating. The number and the size of the ships and boats that were swept ashore was amazing. In the process, many of them crushed homes and other buildings.
