Cheryl Cole will not be sitting besides Simon Cowell, L.A Reid and Paula Abdul at the judges’ table when The X Factor airs. Instead, viewers will see former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger in her spot. Scherzinger was previously hired to co-host the show with Steve Jones. No official reason was given for why Cole was dropped but sources say the network was worried American audiences would not understand her British accent while other sources claim she lacked chemistry with Abdul. The show will begin airing in September.
