After 25 years, Oprah Winfrey wrote a love letter to her fans by taping her final show with just one final guest: Oprah herself. Standing alone on her studio stage, Winfrey said she wanted to leave her fans with lessons from her life and spent the time sharing favorite clips and recounting all the useful advice and lessons learned during her run as the most successful talk show host in history. Appearing calm and confident with an occasional tear in her eye, Winfrey credited a higher power with her astonishing achievements and dispensed some sisterly words of advice to her audience. She signed off by saying “I won’t say goodbye, I’ll just say “Until we meet again”” and then stepped down the steps of the stage, walked through the audience, stopping to give her longtime partner Stedman Graham a hug and kiss before continuing out of the studio doors towards her office as the show ended.

She kept it a secret from the world for over a week but now Kim Kardashian is ready to reveal that she is engaged to her beau of six month, NBA star Kris Humphries. The New Jersey Nets forward asked Kardashian’s parents for her hand in marriage before getting down on one knee in her bedroom and asking her to marry him. He proposed with a custom-designed 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. For the romantic proposal, Humphries spelled out the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” in rose petals in Kardashian’s room. The couple has not set a wedding date yet.

Cheryl Cole Dropped From The X Factor

Cheryl Cole will not be sitting besides Simon Cowell, L.A Reid and Paula Abdul at the judges’ table when The X Factor airs. Instead, viewers will see former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger in her spot. Scherzinger was previously hired to co-host the show with Steve Jones. No official reason was given for why Cole was dropped but sources say the network was worried American audiences would not understand her British accent while other sources claim she lacked chemistry with Abdul. The show will begin airing in September.
