You are the one to decide whose meals are more tasty and healthy.

unless you live on neptune, it's easy to see that the first woman's meals are tastier and the second woman's are healthier... and that one woman is pretty old and one is fairly young. "genes," my arse.

was there a point to this post, anyway?

There are loads of healthy and unhealthy vegetarians and loads of healthy and unhealthy meat eaters. There really is not much of a difference.

How is comparing pictures of two people and their food an accurate representation of a group?

vegeterians are nothing but a bunch of hypocrite assholes, since vegetals are alives too.......if it was up to me.I'd send those fuckers in some african country..where kids dies from hunger, to tell to these very same kids why they shouldn't eat meat...

lol at above comment, altho it kinda makes me sad to know there are people as ignorant as you :P

also retarded post. A unhealthy meat eater looks better then a healthy person, that must mean its good to eat fats and desserts! (yay for you, feel free to live in blissfull ignorance ;) )

i have been working in many different country(some were very poor)....i actualy saw people dying cause they didn't have the "luxury" of having food..some of them are surviving by eating leafs and mud....seing that kind of stuff change your perspectives for life....my point is that we should feel lucky to decide if we want to have meat or not and that it's a false debate...cause some poeple just can't..your reaction just prove that you never step foot out of your house....cause you'd be a little more umble otherwise.

see...actualy i might not be as ignorant as you are..

Blaming people who don't eat meat for the starvation problem was a pretty ignorant comment.

It is a luxury that we are allowed to choose what we eat. But no matter what you eat, I think it's no one's business to tell a starving person what they can and cannot eat. A starving person isn't forced to eat something if they don't want to, but they should at least be given that option.

that i can understand!!...your comment is respectfull and make a lot of sense....but it's just make's me angry to see some people bragging about how meat eaters are evil when others would gladly eat out our garbages just to live a few more days....of course i dont blame them...they aren't the one's to blame for our world failures.....but i do think that when they're saying that having a steak is evil, they don't realise that a thousand miles away from them, some kid died cause he never had meat....you know,i don't pretend to be a good person...but at least i have respect for the unfortunates...not pity...just respect.

Seriously, most vegans/vegetarians are not like that, a lot of us are normal people. But ANYONE who opposes sending any bit of food to starving people is a very selfish person, it has nothing to do with what they eat.

But getting back on topic a bit, this post comparing a vegetarian and an omnivore is totally ridiculous and doesn't prove any point for either side. You cannot judge a person just based on their diet. Neither diet automatically (or even generally) defines your health, personality, or appearance.

Despite what a lot of people think, having a plant based diet is not a guarantee of good health. There are a lot of things out there to eat as a vegetarian/vegan/meat eater/etc that are healthy and unhealthy.

And about that "starving in africa" comment, a lot of vegans and vegetarians don't feel like it's better for those people to starve than to eat meat. There is enough food to feed the people who are starving, the reason the food does not get to them is political. Yes, it is all (or at least most) GMO and it could possibly be bad for someone's health in the long run…..but don't most of us do that anyway? Most of us eat things that could be bad for us and we're not even starving! I can't put myself in their shoes since I can't imagine what it is like to be starving, but I would prefer to eat GMO crops and live a few more years with a full stomach rather than starve to death.

Most of us here have the LUXURY to choose what we want to eat, were as the people starving don't. If you have the option to eat what you want, then you have no business telling people who don't have that option what to do.

Evolutionarily.. the diet that our bodies have evolved to be accostomed is meat, a few veggies, and more meat. Which would mean that saturated fat is best for your bodies. Oh wait, that is what i eat. Oh and my doctor has never seen an over 40 yo with as good of cholesterol numbers as me. Carbs cause cholesterol.

evolutionarily... we are omnivores who eat mostly plant products. this goes back to the dawn of primates around 70 million years ago. this is the way our bodies evolved, and very little that we've done as apes has changed that fact.

and if saturated fat was really a normal component of our diet, then those who eat diets heavy in saturated fat probably wouldn't consistently have the number of health problems that they do, regardless of your little sample size of one.

a meat-based diet is pretty-much the most environmentally unsustainable diet there is. every pound of meat produced requires umpteen pounds of grasses, grains, or lower life down the food chain. not to mention huge amounts of water. look it up if you don't believe me.

so all of you people thumping your chests about the glory of meat- i guarantee you that it's not something you'll be enjoying for very long, based on where the world is going. and yes, i personally love meat. but reality is reality.

I really don't come often on this site, but really i haven't missed that at all. Whether it be, the stupid comments like "vegetarians are gay" and the pissimistic views of gigantes ... the majority of you have too much free time and too little sense to use it correctly, do as me, keep away from this talking about things and talking about ppl site and search for talking about knowledge and talking about ideas sites, now see ya never.
