well said... right from the heart. one can immediately discern that. the fact that civilisation has about two more seconds to live tends to make your sentiments precious... or maybe worthless? who can possibly say...?
As usual, the "elite" edit quotes to change the meaning. That Mencken quote, for example, is preceded by this:

Barack Obama is "intrinsically the most devious and mediocre" figure ever to appear on the American scene - and the "superior" denizens of the blue states fell for it like a ton of bricks, recognizing and embracing the virtual vacuum of their own souls in the perfect empty-suit candidate.
