These are some real ghost towns in the United States. Most of these towns were thriving at one time or another. There are various reasons for their demise. Now they are simply ghost towns.

Goldfield, Arizona

It is amazing how much civil servants and bureaucrats make in different countries. Some of them make as little as $11 per month. Usually, these people have extremely large families.

This is a tree hotel that is located in Sweden. The Mirrorcube is accessed by a rope bridge; accommodates two people and has a roof terrace; a living room, a bath, a small kitchenette, and a large bed; the interior has a 360 degree vies and is made from plywood; its exterior represents a camouflaged refuge; the mirror box is 4m X 4m X4m; it is built around a tree trunk, and; it’s made from light weight aluminum.

This is a piece of street art that is an amazing optical illusion. The artwork was done by Kurt Wenner, who was an employee of NASA. He uses his math skills to create optical illusions that are three dimensional.

These are some old magazines from the past that were very popular. Back in those days, people were in love with magazines. There were magazines that covered everything that you could imagine.

I don’t know if they are real cameras but they look quite real. And if they are, I definitely want one!

These are some very creative and clever deserts. They look like one type of food but they are tasty looking disguised deserts. For example, a chocolate cake might look like a steak.

These are some fashion accessories that were designed by Fulvio Bonavia that look good enough to eat. They are also very creative and gorgeous. However, I doubt that most of them would last very long out of the refrigerator.

These are some great brazenly funny billboards from Canada. Those Canucks really have a great sense of humor. Apparently, so too do the people who approve their billboards.

The first and the last

The photographer Ryan Matthew Smith turns modern cooking into art. His photos of vegetables being chopped and grills and pots cut in half while the food cooks are truly unique.

Some people have incredible imaginations, and then some people just have a lot of time on their hands. Toilet bikes, ten-foot tall bikes, lawn chair bikes and even a bike that folds up into a backpack are all featured in this strange collection.

Apparently flooding can turn people to drinking beer, or they are all alcoholics and can’t even ride out a storm without some liquid courage. These men and women, mostly men, prove that a little set back like a flood does not stop them from pursuing their drunken stupors.

Sometimes we just need a fresh perspective to see the world in a different light. These gorgeous highflying pictures show cities and landscapes from a different and much more exalted height.
