Flying like a Bird Is Possible

Built by a Dutch mechanical engineer, this flying contraption allows its rider to fly like a bird. “The flight isn't achieved with his own arm strength alone. Instead, the flapping motion is magnified by motors controlled by a system Smeets developed using Nintendo Wii controllers and an Android smartphone.”

Flapping the wings like that is pointless. Birds flap their wings in a different way to lift off the ground.

100+ years ago people were building the same contraptions and getting similar results. this thing is a great way to get yourself killed in a way that's been done many times before.
