The casting for the main characters was perfect. Sharon Stone, and a few others..too old. Madonna!? She would have been a hideous choice.

My dad, a former Navy vet, refused to go see the movie. When asked why, he said: "I know how it ends!" :-)

James Cameron originally wanted Enya to compose the score for the film and even went so far as to assemble a rough edit using her music. When Enya declined, Cameron hired James Horner.
