The HemLoft, as his owner calls it, was deliberately made in the shape of an egg in order not to contradict with the surroundings. The cozy secluded place is located in a reasonable distance from the road, but out of sight and earshot of people nearby. However, as long as the HemLoft is built on a state land, its future is presently unclear.

Well, in Canada it is called "crown" land which means it is the property of the Canadian government and it's people. In order to do anything, be it mining, forestry or living, requires the permission and zoning from the government. By law, he would be "squatting.
