The statement of Beautiful is a perfect example, why Europe is going down the drain. In Europe, you don't receive knowledge in schools, but earn "competences". Example: My geography lessons where packed with stuff like why the Sahel is drying or where the trade winds blow. Might be useful knowledge, but I had to teach myself the capitals of european countries or the names of the German low mountain ranges or German rivers.
I could elaborate on almost every school subject, but this would take hours.
