Having worked for the brown shirts many moons ago, I can understand why the drivers get to this point - the pressure they are under to complete their routes in record time or risk demotion from driver status is incredible.
Not saying it's right, but it is safe to say the mother company has some blame for their actions.
You have not lived until you have been crushed by an avalanche of boxes around Christmas time.

I interviewed one of these guys and after speaking with him awhile, he said that this sort of thing is business as usual. The union will protect them from getting fired but the guy I spoke with had numerous complaints against him and he was let go anyway. He lost a $60,000+ a year job because he was too lazy to walk another 25 feet. He knew he was on camera too. He just didn't care.
