the trashcan and pot-cleaning ones are major fails.

when the bag eventually leaks, it will now seep trash liquid on to the floor. and cleaning nonstick pots with metal will ruin the finish sooner or later.

I agree on the trash can one but if you drill tiny holes (maybe 7 - 8) about an inch up from the bottom, it performs the same function yet contains most spills.

The toothpaste one is also a fail - it's easily recovered using just the edge of the washbasin.

I wouldn't advise lifting glass shards with slices of bread. It isn't strong enough to prevent the shards penetrating the bread and slicing your fingers. I have seen the evidence!

For glass I just sweep up most of it and then use a wet/damp paper towel for the rest.
