this is so stupid. In reality, airstrips surrounded by sea are the safest, cause you can always emergency land on water. Read the freaking safety manual and think why they show you floating vests.
Because of the short (2300m) runway at Princess Juliana International Airport (St. Maarten), large planes fly right over the tourists' head on Maho Beach. It's a spectacular sight—from the ground.
