As an animal rights activist, I see horrific brutality against the innocent almost every day.

There is never an excuse for animal abuse, one of the most heinous of crimes. People who torture or kill animals, whether in rage or just for sexual kicks, are evil to the core. Some plead they've reformed. Don't believe it. That darkness may be buried, but it's still alive.

I am in total agreement with you. Our family has had many rescue dogs, and they have given us many happy times.

There has been quite a few reports of correlation between abuse of animals and deviant behaviour in offenders in society. These people are known to be perpetrators of violent and abusive crime. So all that cross their path suffer.

You are right, a leopard doesn't change it's spots.
