Rescued shelter dogs who were given a second chance.
This is Bird Dog when she first came into the Paaws Antigua Shelter in Antigua, West Indies.
And this is her right before she found a home!
This is Cedar, who was named for the golf course he was found near.
And this incredibly handsome pooch is Cedar on his way to his new home!
This is Coffee when he was first picked up.
And this is Coffee looking suave as heck after only one month.
Sumo was found tied to a fence with a short chain.
But look this big lug after being rescued!
ISA was found wandering the roadside in August.
And this is her chilling in the shelter as cool as a cucumber in January.
Shelley was also living by the roadside, found behind a local airport in January.
And here she is looking much healthier only two weeks later!
This is Rugby when he first came in.
And this is Rugby with a nice new haircut (he has to wear the cone because he's getting treated for heartworms).
This is Skinny in January. :(
But here he is less than two months later looking much better!
There is never an excuse for animal abuse, one of the most heinous of crimes. People who torture or kill animals, whether in rage or just for sexual kicks, are evil to the core. Some plead they've reformed. Don't believe it. That darkness may be buried, but it's still alive.
There has been quite a few reports of correlation between abuse of animals and deviant behaviour in offenders in society. These people are known to be perpetrators of violent and abusive crime. So all that cross their path suffer.
You are right, a leopard doesn't change it's spots.
