very nice collection. despite being an amateur zoologist, several of these i had never seen nor heard of. #26, the mara, in particular is a nice example of convergent evolution-- different animals in different types of the world can evolve to resemble each other given similar habitat. so the mara looks so much like a deer. and the mara's head does look a bit like a kanga's because it shared common ancestor with capybaras. looks like a capybara on stilts, really.
The Raccoon Dog, or Tanuki, is a canid indigenous to East Asia. The raccoon dog is named for its resemblance to the raccoon, to which it is not closely related. They are very good climbers and regularly climb trees.
