very nice collection. despite being an amateur zoologist, several of these i had never seen nor heard of. #26, the mara, in particular is a nice example of convergent evolution-- different animals in different types of the world can evolve to resemble each other given similar habitat. so the mara looks so much like a deer. and the mara's head does look a bit like a kanga's because it shared common ancestor with capybaras. looks like a capybara on stilts, really.
The Patagonian Mara is a relatively large rodent found in parts of Argentina. This herbivorous, somewhat rabbit-like animal has distinctive long ears and long limbs and its hind limbs are longer and more muscular than its forelimbs.
