Lol.. people actually believe you can hear the ocean?
I've always seen it as a joke.
Same with full-ear headsets, sometimes you can hear your heart pumping.

These types of thing really bring my piss to the boil and it's a symptom of the decay of society. This 2nd-hand, ill-informed, memorised, pop-knowledge (with no real understanding) is so prevalent these days. Proper grammar, spelling and accuracy of information are near extinction.
