The Halloween-themed Treehouse of Horror XXIV couch gag was directed by Mexican film director Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Pan's Labyrinth) and it's full of horror movie references and cameos. 'The Bird', 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'The Shining' are just one of the many references you'll get to see in this video.

I know the show as a whole did it a long time ago but I really think this couch gag jumped the shark.
