Larissa stood by Ian’s side and continued to date him despite the fact that he could no longer even talk to her.

What happened to him was a real tragedy but that guy will never, ever know how lucky he is.

It might be possible to reverse brain damage in the foreseeable future. No one ever knows.

None of you posting comments here know what it's really like to live with someone who's been born normal, suffered a tragic accident, and been undergoing ongoing Rehab w/OT and PT for years with someone you love. I suggest you think before you click "like".

he can obviously communicate with her in some way and most likely return her love, affection and gratitude. so that's something special.
also, given the miracle of neural plasticity, brain damage is not necessarily permanent. he will likely slowly recover functionality, although where that will leave him is unclear. life keeps challenging us to be adaptable.
