i understand it's a beneficial thing, but i'm not sure it needs to be heavily pursued. a balanced life will generally produce plenty of healing laughter. a lot of that will arise from peace of mind... which will spontaneously find plenty of things amusing and laugh-worthy.

a culture full of empty laughter is not necessarily a good thing, i suspect.

In a study conducted by the University of Maryland Medical Center, the results indicated that laughter seemed to cause the endothelium (tissue that composes the lining of blood vessels) to expand, allowing for better blood flow.
