I never truly understood how much healthcare in the US costs until I got Appendicitis in October. I'm a 20 year old guy. Thought other people should see this to get a real idea of how much an unpreventable illness costs in the US.

The cover page of sorts. You can see the original total up at the top. Thankfully I was still on my dad's insurance for another month or so. $55,029,.31 would have been way too much for me to pay on my own. Then again $11,119.53 is still a ton at this time in my life.
Isn't that the way it ought to be in the USA?
It's a disgrace that rich, right-wingers should prevent free, nation-wide healthcare for all citizens in what they claim to be the greatest country in the world.
the life is priceless...thats why is supposed you don't need money to be alive.
Here in Mexico we have free health care "seguro popular"not the best health care cover but at least my aunt got a surgery like this for free.
I think this pricing on health is just making money with suffering.
Appendicitis is the most simple operation that can be done.
It should not cost more than $6k.
Its free in my country.
