Three couples had an unusual air and sea wedding in Qingdao, northern China's Shandong Province on June 13, 2011. The couples first took to the sea in several speed boats before hooking themselves into three twin paragliders. Once in the air they exchanged rings and vows. Bride Song Xiaolu said, "We all live in the same community and we were good friends since kindergarten". Despite this, the couples said, they never expected to marry each other and didn't develop feelings for one other until they all attended the same university.
