Many people love diamond jewellery and it is a nice idea to have token pieces made to remember loved ones who are no longer alive. Algordanza, a Swiss company, has taken this idea to a whole new level.

Diamonds are made out of carbon and the human body is 18% carbon as well. When you cremate a human body, 2% of this carbon remains and Algordanza are actually able to use these ashes to make diamonds. The last photos show a real ring belonging to a man who actually used his grandmother’s remains to create the jewel.
