a mix between jail and a psychiatric hospital... great way for education.

So you do an article about a "growing trend", yet no link or anything proving this is what the rooms are used for.

Man, how things have changed since I was in school. So glad my kids grew up before this... forced indoctrination and programming.

I'm betting that these are special education schools and these rooms are not there to punish children but are in fact for their protection. I know parents of severely autistic kids and they will tell you that when their children fly into one of their inconsolable rages, a padded room is sadly the best place for them.
