Wolfs (and dogs) lick each others 'faces' as a sign of togetherness, that they are members of the same pack/group. Kind of a greeting.
So when your dog lick you in the face, it's saying that the dog and you are a group.
Though I would recommend let your dog lick you on the chin and not the mouth due to parasites it may transfer.
