Dracula's castle, situated in Romania, is actually called Bran Castle. It was an inspiration for Bram Stoker‘s famous Gothic horror novel of 1897. Dracula is, of course, a fictional character partially based on Vlad the Impaler a Wallachian ruler who lived in the 15th century and liked to impale his enemies. The descendents of the Romanian royal family offered the Romanian government to buy their castle for $80 million.
