Photographer Andreas Rutkauskas traveled along the longest land border in the world to see what it's like and to show us these captivating photos.
The land border between Canada and the United States stretches for 8,891 km. The line runs between different town sites and wilderness. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks a number of obelisks have been erected there. Although this vast territory is hard to control, it is monitored by different subtle technologies like X-ray scanners, gates, improvised barriers and other surveillance systems.
