Brooklyn Adracke is 3-year-old girl from Bloomington, Illinois, who just loves Thursdays because it is a garbage day! And it is on Thursday that she gets to see her favorite person, a "smiley garbage man" Delvar D. Every time Delvar drives near Brooklyn's house he honks and waves her. The little girl waves him back and looks forward to every Thursday to see him again. But this Thursday it was Brooklyn's birthday, so she waited until Delvar came down their street, then ran toward him waving and offering him one of her birthday cupcakes.
Her mother wrote on Facebook: "After he left, we continued onto daycare. Brooklyn was unusually quiet in the backseat. I asked her if she was okay, and she said "Mommy, I'm so happy.""
The story isn’t over there though, because next week Delvar had his own surprise for Brooklyn!
