Norman MacDonald from West Mabou was collecting trash from the local beach when he came across this Sauza Gold Tequila bottle. There wasn't any tequila in it but a note, 25 Canadian dollars and the ashes of a man who used to go by the name of Gary Robert Dupuis. The message was most likely from his children who wrote about their dad explaining that he liked tequila and dreamed of traveling the world.
“His favourite drink was a shot of Tequila, straight up (no groceries). If you find him, please take this money, buy yourself and Gary a drink and release him back in the ocean. My wish is that he gets his dream of seeing the world and finally finds some peace.”
They also asked whoever finds a bottle to write down the location where the bottle was found and where it was released back into the ocean.
Norman plans on bringing it to the local dance on Saturday night and to add $20 to the "drink fund" before he releases the bottle into the ocean.
