This Australian Fungus Comes Directly Out Of Your Nightmares (7 pics)

This Australian fungus is called Clathrus archeri but commonly known as devil's fingers. The young fungus erupts from a suberumpent egg by forming into four to seven elongated slender "octopus" arms initially erect and attached at the top.

I think guys who worked on "The Last Of Us" were inspired by this fungus.
