Zanda Indriksone is a regular student from Latvia, but she has over 350 homeless cats saved solely by her hands. She was walking to classes past lots of stray cats and once she had enough of it, so she took one to vet in order to find it a new home. It grew into a life-saving habit, so that she is saving cats on a daily basis now, inspiring lots of volunteers to join her cause.

Zanda says the time a cat lives in a temporary home depends on their health, but the longest has been a month due to health complications. The quickest she says has been half an hour.
