Wellness blogger Belle Gibson became a huge celebrity from her diet and health guide and recipe book that claimed to cure her terminal cancer. She went on to make an app called “The Whole Pantry” and eventually she built an empire out of her products. But, her health heroics came crashing down when she admitted in 2015 that she had never had cancer and never cured anything. Instantly, her blog posts were removed, her app taken down, and her book deals canceled.
