Invention time!
Parenting win!
“My husband and I are fitness experts. When our children misbehave, we don’t discipline them with time-outs or standing in the corner. We make them climb it. It keeps them in shape and in line.”
A safe barbecue!
Use a cheap shower curtain to make a little pool for the kids at the beach.
Load up the dishwasher with toys that are plastic or rubber. Add in 1.5 cups of vinegar and wash!
Cut foam pool noodles and use as door bumpers to prevent little fingers from getting caught in doors.
If you have a kid with a walker, use pool noodles as bumpers to save your walls and ankles.
Basic soufflé cups (you can even ask for a couple of empty extras at a restaurant!) make an easy storage for pacifiers.
Make shoe shopping as easy as possible!
Use a glue gun to make the soles of your kid’s shoes slip safe.
Shopping by yourself with your baby, but you don’t enough hands? Just put 2 carabiner hooks on your stroller and you can hang a shopping basket.
This is a messy activity but a super fun one: Place drops of paint on a sheet of paper, then cover them with cotton balls. Give your child a play hammer and let them discover the bursts of color!
Use food containers to cover the door knobs.
Your old doll can be beautiful again if you have some glue.
Here’s a great way to teach your children discipline.
You can build a snow fortress using a plastic food container to make “bricks.”
If your daughter wants your eyeshadows, pop them out, put some nail polish in them, and give her a set of her own different colors.
Use a blender to cut vegetables and put them in the freezer for several hours. Children will eat anything that looks like ice-cream.
Protect your new furniture or car seats from spills by inserting a crazy straw upside-down in a cup with a lid.
Build your own toddler travel survival kit.
Here’s an art project for children. You will need: paper, a brownie/muffin pan or little bowls, kids washable paint, cotton balls, and wooden clothes pins.
Are you always losing booties, mittens, hats, or other tiny accessories? Use a hanger and curtain clips to easily find and organize them.
