#11 Fake. They are known to be able to live to 500 - 600 years. That isn't even the most interesting things about them, they are an amazing animal, big as great whites, and when mature, all blind.

How about pigeons? I remember seeing this grey pigeon when I was a kid. I'm now 76 and I saw it again just last week.

Ocean quahog, 507 years old
Ocean quahog is a species of edible clam, a marine bivalve mollusk that lives a very long life adding one layer to its shell each year. They show exceptional longevity and a great example of this is Ming, the clam that lived for 507 years, the highest reported age among non-colonial species.
